Simpson Family Corp. – Mission

The Simpson Family Corporation is a not-for-profit entity that exists to build and maintain an effective communications infrastructure throughout our family, such that family ties, relations, and knowledge of ourselves and our history are sustained and nurtured over time.

The goals of the corporation are achieved primarily through the activities of a genealogy group, a planning group, and a finance group. Through our genealogical work and family communications, we have learned that we, as many other American families, are widely diverse in nearly every way possible. As a family, we are from African and Irish roots. Also, like many other American families, we have evolved to include many races, cultures, and religions. As a result of our development within American society, we cling most passionately to our African ancestry, although this is in no way to the exclusion of any other race, religion, ethnicity, or culture.

The Simpson Family Corporation was created in 2004. Initially, the focus was on the Simpson family; although, from the outset, it recognized and embraced all descendants of Caroline Simpson, the matriarch of the Simpson family. As time passed and we became more knowledgeable of our family history and evolution, we also evolved as an organization. As of 2022, we have shifted our focus to all descendants of Caroline Simpson with no particular emphasis on any sub-family within that group, and therefore, redefined ourselves as Caroline's Tribe and consider sub-families as clans within the tribe. For now, we will not change the name of the Simpson Family Corporation, but all our work will be focused on Caroline's Tribe.

We encourage clans within the tribe to continue traditional reunions and other family activities. All events and activities sponsored by the Simpson Family Corporation will be directed to Caroline's Tribe.
